Advertising Disclosure
Effective date: September 19, 2025
Operator: GlamGrid is a beauty blog operated by Soteran LLC.
Contact: privacy@glamgridbeauty.com
GlamGrid is supported in part by advertising. We aim to be transparent about how ads appear on our site, how they are labeled, and how advertisers and ad networks may use data to deliver and measure those ads. This page explains our practices in plain language.
1) What kinds of advertising appear on GlamGrid?
We may use one or more of the following:
- Third-party display ads (e.g., banner, native, video, in-content units) served through ad networks such as Google AdSense, Mediavine, or similar programmatic partners. These are typically bought and sold in real time and may be targeted based on your device or browsing activity.
- Directly sold ads purchased by a brand or agency to appear on GlamGrid (e.g., a sitewide banner or sponsored widget) and labeled as an advertisement.
- Sponsored content / paid partnerships (e.g., an article, guide, or social post created with a brand). These are clearly labeled (see Section 3).
- Giveaways or brand integrations that are paid for or supported by a brand and labeled accordingly.
Labeling: Traditional ad placements (e.g., banners) are labeled with "Advertisement," "Ad," or similar. Sponsored content is labeled with "Sponsored," "Paid Partnership," or comparable language at the top of the post and/or near the headline.
2) Targeted (personalized) advertising and data use
Some ads you see may be personalized (also called "interest-based" or "behavioral" ads). To do this, ad partners may use technologies such as cookies, pixels, SDKs, or device identifiers to:
- Recognize your browser or device across sites and apps
- Infer interests from pages you visit and content you view
- Limit how often you see the same ad (frequency capping)
- Measure ad performance (impressions, clicks, conversions)
- Detect and prevent fraud or invalid traffic
These practices—and your choices—are explained in more detail in our Privacy Policy and may also be managed through our Your Privacy Choices controls in the site footer (if available in your region).
Opt-out resources (examples):
- U.S. DAA: aboutads.info/choices
- NAI: optout.networkadvertising.org
- EU/EEA (EDAA): youronlinechoices.eu
- Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com
Note: Opt-outs are typically browser- or device-specific and may reset if you clear cookies or change devices.
3) Sponsored content & paid partnerships (how we label them)
From time to time, we publish content created with or funded by a brand (for example, a product spotlight, routine guide, or giveaway announcement). We will clearly mark such pieces using conspicuous labels at the top of the page and/or near the headline, such as:
- "Sponsored"
- "Paid Partnership with [Brand]"
- "In Partnership With [Brand]"
If a social post is sponsored, we will use #ad, #sponsored, or platform-approved paid partnership tools.
We may also note when a product was gifted (e.g., "PR sample" or "gifted by [Brand]"). Gifts do not guarantee coverage, and any coverage will still reflect our honest views.
4) Editorial independence
Our editorial opinions are our own. Advertising revenue or sponsored partnerships do not determine our product ratings, recommendations, or the order in which items appear inside editorial articles.
- We maintain separation between editorial decisions and advertisingoperations.
- When a post is sponsored, we will tell you, and we will still strive to present useful, accurate, and balanced information.
- If we update a piece after publication (e.g., to add a new product or revise a recommendation), we do so to improve accuracy and utility—not to favor a particular advertiser.
For transparency about affiliate links (separate from ads), please see our Affiliate Disclosure.
5) What advertisers and ad networks may collect
Ad networks and advertisers may collect and process the following categories of information in connection with serving and measuring ads:
- Device and browser identifiers (e.g., cookie ID, mobile ad ID)
- IP address and estimated location (e.g., city/region level)
- Technical details (e.g., browser type, device type, language, screen resolution)
- Interaction data (e.g., pages viewed, time spent, scroll depth, clicks)
- Ad event data (e.g., ad requested/served/viewed/clicked, frequency, viewability)
- Inferred interests (e.g., skincare, wellness, beauty tools) based on browsing
This data helps deliver relevant ads, limit repetition, measure results, and maintain ad quality and security. See our Privacy Policy for more details, including the legal bases (where applicable) and retention practices of our vendors.
6) Your choices & controls
Depending on your location, you may be able to control advertising and tracking in the following ways:
- Site controls: Use our Your Privacy Choices link in the footer (if available) to manage cookie categories, including advertising cookies.
- Browser settings: Block or delete cookies; enable "Do Not Track" (some services may not respond to DNT).
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where supported, we endeavor to treat GPC signals as a request to opt out of sale/sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under applicable U.S. state laws.
- Platform tools: Use the opt-out links above (DAA/NAI/EDAA) and platform controls such as Google Ads Settings.
- Mobile: Reset your mobile advertising ID and/or limit ad tracking in device settings.
Please note that opting out of personalized ads does not eliminate all advertising—you may still see contextual ads (based on the content of the page you're viewing) or non-personalized ads.
7) Placement and third-party responsibility
- We strive to keep ad placements unobtrusive, but automated ad systems may insert ads in various locations, including within paragraphs on mobile.
- Ads, logos, or trademarks displayed on GlamGrid are the property of their respective owners.
- We do not usually pre-screen every ad creative served programmatically. If you see an inappropriate ad, please take a screenshot and email privacy@glamgridbeauty.com so we can report it to the relevant network or block it where feasible.
- Links in ads lead to third-party websites with their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
8) Children's advertising
GlamGrid is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly permit interest-based advertising to children under 13 on our properties. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9) Changes to this disclosure
We may update this Advertising Disclosure to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will update the Effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted on site or within the disclosure itself.
